Trump Urges Investing at Least $200M on Science and Tech

Trump directed education secretary Betsy DeVos on investing at least $200 million on science and technology education greants every year, and tweeting that the effort will bring the country “one step closer to reaching the goal of aligning skills taught in our nation’s classrooms with the jobs of the future.”

Earlier this week, Ivanka Trump told reporters during a briefing that education as such for minorities and girls and particularly important and announced that she will meet with private sector officials who will pledge in support of computer science education.

Donald Trump then signed a directive instructing DeVos to prioritize STEM education.
