Several early education centers in Chicago have lost funding without being told why, according to recent reports.
“The services are provided to 42 children at no cost to families. It is why funding is crucial,” writes CBS Local.
The lack of transparency as to why they aren’t getting funding this year is creating hardship and confusion for leaders and those who rely on the services because they don’t know what they could have done better to receive the essential funding.
In the meantime, the centers will have to deal with the challenges of losing funding or the possibility of shutting down.
