This year’s analysis from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) found that Asian countries are doing the best when it comes to preparing students in math, science and reading.
China and Singapore ranked at the top, with even the most “disadvantaged” students in China still ranking higher than the most “advantaged” students in other countries. Through the analysis, they also found that many students feel a great amount of dissatisfaction with the education, are being bullied, and are scared of failure.
The analysis is intended to help education systems understand their students and adjust the resources they offer accordingly.
The test will be adjusting to assess students in countries for creative thinking skills in 2021.
