In order to attract more international students, many countries are taking steps to extend the period of time that foreign students can remain in the country while looking for jobs.
In the UK recently extended its foreign student policy from four months to two years, and the US already offers up to 36 months for some graduate students who apply for Optional Practical Training.
Other countries like New Zealand and Chile have also implemented extended stay periods.
Participants in these foreign student programs have significantly increased over the years as they become more available in more countries, ultimately creating a more competitive study abroad experience.
