Stanford University has made emergency contraceptives more readily available for students through vending machines, expanding access beyond the health care center or store hours.
Earlier this week the university announced that the machine will sell birth control and contraceptives for both male and females as well as Plan B.
The machine was funded by student government and by the office for Institutional Equity and Access and was inspired by a successful program at Pomona College.
