The Sunrise Children’s Foundation in Southern Nevada received a $3.6 million grant to improve the education of under-resourced youth.
The grant was issued by the Administration for Children and Families and will allow more children to benefit from early education within the state.
Through the foundation’s Early Head Start program, 200 children up to age 3 will qualify to receive the funds if their parents are either working or attending school as a full-time student.
Educators and community leaders believe the grant will continue to allow the Sunrise Children’s Foundation to provide more health and nutrition services in addition to educational aid.
“By providing more access to resources for our children and educators, this grant makes a valuable long-term investment for our community,” said Nevada Congresswoman Dina Titus.
