Pauly Moley, a freshman Republican member of the Arizona House of Representatives, has recently said in an interview with the Arizona Capitol Times that he wants to repeal a state law that obligates young people to attend school.
Moley argues that “education is still a privilege, and the kids who don’t want to be there are a larger distraction to the kids who do want to be there.”
Although every U.S. state requires some schooling for kids, Moley believes that in today’s society, “we basically force [education] down everybody’s throats.”
