NYC’s Nonprofit “Studio in A School” to Expand Nationally

In a move to expand its mission and impact, the New York City nonprofit Studio in a School is creating a “Studio Institute,” which will be tasked with replicating Studio’s New York arts programs in public schools across the nation, reports the New York Times.

Since 1977, this respected arts nonprofit has been recruiting professional artists to teach visual arts in public schools, and has brought over 650 talented artists to more than 800,000 school children, a majority of whom come from low-income families.
