Utah Nonprofit Helps Soldiers Overseas with Christmas Stockings

As veterans can testify, a foreign military base is never the ideal place to spend the holidays; that’s why the Utah nonprofit ‘Operation Give’ hopes to send 10,000 to 20,000 stockings to soldiers in Afghanistan and South Korea by Veterans Day. These small gifts make a huge difference– veteran Paul Diamond told Deseret News he got involved with Operation Give after receiving a stocking that eased the pain of being separated from his family on Christmas. Operation Give’s good work doesn’t end there; the nonprofit has plans to send 500 bags of school supplies to benefit Iraqi children.
