On October 15, the board of directors of the Yellowstone Association and the Yellowstone Park Foundation announced that they will merge into a single nonprofit in order to better serve Yellowstone National Park. By combining educational and fundraising affairs, the new unified nonprofit will have increased flexibility and resources to respond to park needs. The joint organization will begin activities in March 2016, with fully consolidated operations running by February 2017.
