Walmart announced this month that it is donating $5 million to the National Museum of African American History and Culture. The donation is part of the company’s pledge to invest in diversity and inclusivity, according to a recent press release.
The donation will help to fund the museum’s “programming for visitors, acquisitions, corporate leadership council and exhibitions,” as reported by Biz Journals.
“The National Museum of African American History and Culture is a vital institution, deepening everyone’s understanding of our nation’s history through the lens of then African American experience,” said leaders of the Walmart Foundation.
