For the new year, Paris Musées, the public institution that incorporates the city’s 14 museums, has uploaded thousands of famous artworks into a portal that can now be accessed by the public.
About 150,000 of them are in high definition and can be directly downloaded, while thousands of others can just be viewed.
“Making this data available guarantees that our digital files can be freely accessed and reused by anyone or everyone, without any technical, legal or financial restraints, whether for commercial use or not,” Paris Musées said in a press release.
