More American families are living without health insurance than ever before, according to a new analysis.
In 2018 more than 27 million people are without health insurance in the U.S., according to data from the Census Bureau, indicating a nearly 8 percent increase since 2017.
This means that many families cannot afford to have basic health care benefits, such as affording a pair of prescription glasses.
This was the first significant rise in loss of health care access since 2014, according to the New York Times.
