A new survey commissioned by Time found that men don’t find gender inequality to be as prevalent as women do.
Time reports that “there is stark disagreement about how pervasive the issue is and what should be done about it.”
According to the survey, 62 percent of men believed that female workers are paid less, while 86 percent of women answered the same.
Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics has previously proved that women are paid 81 percent of what men are paid in the same jobs due to discrimination.
Other parts of the survey revealed that men underestimate how much extra, unpaid work women do, and men believe gender equality will be reached relatively soon.
