A new performance arts center is in the making in Manhattan, as the New York City Economic Development Corporation hope to dedicate a site to the American immigrant experience.
“At a time when immigrants are constantly under attack by the current administration, this cultural institute will be a beacon of hope and safe haven for millions of immigrants,” said Ydanis Rodriguez, city council, as reported by Art Forum.

The center is part of a $200 million initiative to inject the region with affordable housing and resources for the public.
