The Tate Institution, which houses 4 art galleries, unveiled this month its plan to reduce its carbon footprint by 10 percent over the next four years.
Leaders of the institution laid out plans to improve sustainability efforts in the face of the climate crisis around the world.
In a statement, leaders said: “We have reached a defining moment in the history of our planet and the cultural sector has a unique part to play in effecting change. Our pledge is to respond with actions across all four Tate galleries, and at our stores, that put this centre stage.”
The museum has committed to analyzing its current practices and coming up with new ways to improve its climate-consciousness.
