This month, the American Museum of Natural History finally broke ground on its new education center, which had been pending for years after opposition from local groups.
The $383 million Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation will include exhibits that highlight insects and will have an exhibit dedicated to living butterflies.
Construction for the STEM education center can officially begin now that its expansion has been approved by the city.
