According to the American Heart Association, women are at higher risk of facing heart problems and illnesses due to stress since they are often not only the caregivers and homemakers, but also working full-time jobs in addition to taking care of families.
“Women need to make time for their general maintenance and health care. Other studies have pointed to higher risks for women who are experiencing stress to develop chronic heart diseases or develop other health disorders.
Experts suggest prioritizing self-care and aside from taking steps to control blood pressure and cholesterol levels, recommend activities or hobbies that remove stress, like meditation or exercise.
