This month, the United States Agency for International Development donated more than $16 million to deliver food and transfers in the Central African Republic.
The region has, for years, been severely impacted by war and conflict, and the new donation will help to serve the more than 528,000 individuals who are in need of food and care, including thousands of children who will receive school meals.
Leaders of the United States are the biggest supporters of the United Nations World Food Programme that helps millions of countries through sustainable development projects.
