A new survey by the YWCA, which focuses on the empowerment of both females and families, found that minority women and millennial females are most concerned about gun violence and access to health care, among other issues affecting communities at large.
The “What Women Want 2018” survey collected data from more than 1,000 women of various ages and backgrounds.
Results from the survey showed that more than two-thirds of participants wanted the Child Care for Working Families Act to pass to improve resources for working mothers and new families. Additionally, many women indicated the importance of covering preventative health care for women, including access to birth control.
Perhaps one of the most unified responses among women in the survey was under support for strengthening laws that demand equal pay for women.
