A new report from America’s Health Insurance Plans found that Amerians enrolled in Medicaid had better and more assured access to care than those who were not enrolled.
At least 75 million Americans are insured through the program and the report conclude that that population is 5 times more likely than uninsured Americans to have access to quality care.
Additionally the report highlighted that Medicaid provides certain preventative care services that uninsured Americans don’t have otherwise.
The report comes during a time when the Republican-led Congress has criticized the low impact of Medicaid in the U.S. and is actively working to reverse it along with the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
