The Columbus Foundation announced a record $205.8 million in grants awarded.
The grants, which occurred throughout 2016, helped more than 3,300 nonprofit organizations in the Columbus area.
Additionally, the foundation stated it will reinstate The Big Give, a one-day, online giving rally which previously earned $15 million for Ohio-based charities.
“We are proud of the generosity of individuals, families, communities, and businesses that strive to move our region forward through strategic philanthropic investments,” explained president and CEO of The Columbus Foundation Douglas F. Kridler.
“We champion events like The Big Give to support the great work of our nonprofits over a 10-county region and to show what our community can collectively accomplish through kindness,” he added.
