Later this month, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (Mass MoCA) will become of the largest museums in the nation, with 250,000 square feet to showcase six artists’ works.
The new installations will be long-term installations – at least 15 to 25 years. These include works by Louise Bourgeois, James Turrell, Barbara Prey’s watercolor artwork, possibly the largest watercolor on earth.
Renovations on the MoCA included a $65 million investment.
Its new Building 6, has doubled its capacity and will include space for smaller, rotating exhibits.
