A recently opened art exhibit in western Massachusetts has given U.S. military veterans an opportunity to showcase their original artwork, with subjects that include patriotism, personal struggles, the natural environment, and abstract art.
Contributors of the exhibit are part of Soldier On Veterans Community Arts Initiative, a nonprofit organization that works toward ending veteran homelessness by providing housing and a variety of services.
More than one hundred veterans have participated in this arts project, with veterans as young as nineteen, to veterans who have served in the Vietnam War.
The art exhibit is on display at the Salmon Falls Gallery in Shelburne Falls.
