Millennials make up the biggest sector in the workforce, yet report the highest rates of depression than any other generation.
Recent research shows that depression is growing more common among women, where women have reported feeling that their 9-to-5 job is making them unmotivated or exhausted, or even worsening any preconceived illnesses.
Some of the major triggers for depression and anxiety among young adults include stressors pertaining to their generation, including rising costs of living, pressure to succeed, and debt.
However, mental health awareness is increasing among young people, so they are more equipped to recognize and treat depression.
