Studies have shown that visiting art museums can help reduce stress and MRI studies have shown, time and again, that the mind is stimulated in brain areas correlated with creativity and empathy, when observing art. In businesses, meanwhile, CEOs maintain that their businesses lack innovation and creativity.

Creativity and innovation cannot be taught—only “tapped into” says Jim Leach, former chairperson of the National Endowment of the Humanities, current interim director at the University of Iowa Museum of Art. He explains that spaces to observe human creativity, in the form of art, can create inspirational experiences and thus, as studies have shown, inspirational to one’s own creativity and perhaps innovation.
Harvard Business school has integrated more art work into its study spaces to “provoke reaction” reported Desmoines Register.
Human creativity can be inspirational and result in new ways of thinking that could ultimately be applied in business.
