According to KQED News, a new study has found that “300,000 Latino children gained insurance in 2014 from 2013,” dropping their uninsured rates to a historic low. However, Latino children still make up a disproportionately large amount of the country’s uninsured youth.
Researchers on the study posit that one cause of this improvement was the opportunity that the Affordable Care Act produced for Latino adults to sign up for health care, and in turn, their childrne, too.
