A new Los Angeles exhibition “Windows on Death Row” is showcasing the work of political cartoonists critical of capital punishment and the work of California inmates on death row. The exhibition’s organizers, Swiss couple Patrick Chappatte and Anne Widmann “hope to reveal the humanity of those people whose lives hang in the balance,” reports KQED.
The art of over a couple dozen inmates is featured in the show, including that of Kevin Cooper, who was found guilty in a controversial murder case from 1985.
