Dismas Home, a New Hampshire nonprofit that runs inmate halfway houses, is currently raising money to open a home where women released from the state prison in Goffstown can transition back into society. Inmates accepted into the house will be required to find employment, pay a nominal rent, and work to support the home’s operations. Dismas Home expects former inmates to stay for an average 7 months, during which they can work on enhancing social and professional skills from the help of dedicated volunteers.
