Three Texan cities, Dallas, Houston, and Austin, are the fastest growing metropolis’ in the United States- and some of the most philanthropic metropolitan regions on earth. A mix of economic growth and intense civic-mindedness make these cities hubs for philanthropy, as evidenced by their thriving parks and recreation departments, leading medical care facilities, and advancing education system. Financial prosperity is not the only cause- Texan philanthropists are also particularly innovative and tireless when it comes to promoting the public good, said a Texas philanthropy consultant to Philanthropy magazine.
