Most Grad Students Believe College Debt Accrued is Worth It

According to a new survey conducted by the group Go Baking Rates, a majority of students who accrued debt through higher education believe it was worth it. Meanwhile, 42 percent said it was not worth it because of how it can delay or impact other adult endeavours, such as purchasing a first home, reports CNBC.

The study also revealed that 11 percent of respondents believed their college degree was not valuable, while most responded that they would not have their jobs without their degree.

Most students with a college degree still earn more than those with only a high school diploma, about $65,000 vs. $35,000, respectively. However, starting salaries for college grads haven’t grown significantly in the last two years, according to the report.
