The Harold Hamm Foundation will donate $34 million to the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center at OU Medicine over the next 10 years to help fund its research.

This will be the facility’s largest donation ever to the University of Oklahoma and leaders of the organization said that the funds will help to significantly boost their annual budget by an extra $3 million each year.

Currently, the clinic does research on the impact of genetics on the risk of diabetes; diabetes among Native Americans; prevention measures, and more.

The diabetes center will also be using the funds to recruit more scientists and researchers to add to the team, including new equipment for advanced research.
