A series of new academic approaches are impacting the ways in which young students learn and are disciplined.
In particular, according to a new report published by the Washington Post, more schools are placing a greater emphasis on individual learning and tailoring academic plans based on each student.
Some teachers are also planning to assign more in class assignments rather than homework to encourage students to engage in physical or social activities after school.
Additionally, if a student is disciplined, parents will become more involved in appropriate punishments based on the actions of their child.
The report also found that school curriculum will integrate lessons centering on overcoming trauma for children.
