The state of Massachusetts plans to install hundreds of floating, wind turbines off the east coast to power more than one million homes.
Fishermen however are beginning to express concerns over the possibility of having to navigate the turbines out in the ocean as they head to fishing spots through fog and wind.
Some fishermen say it will be nearly impossible to navigate them in those weather conditions if so many turbines are in fact installed and fear that more restrictions on fishing will come with the wind farms.
A group representing fishermen sued the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management to put the plan for a 200 turbine wind farm on hold.
The state has already invested over $113M to begin the project for the wind farms.
