Environmentalists in Yellowstone have become concerned a supervolcano within the national park will erupt, placing wildlife within the area in danger.
Recent studies indicate the volcano may fill to its magma chamber, which would cause Yellowstone to be filled with ash by 2030.
Scientists found the magna chambers can solidify into rock and eventually disintegrate into minerals.
As a result of higher temperatures within the Yellowstone area, ash can be produced and spread from the volcano.
Despite previous reports which estimated the supervolcano would not become active for centuries, environmentalists are exploring possible measures to protect the various plants and animals from an immediate eruption.
