With students returning to school, parents often feel compelled to constantly check their children’s grades, but many educators have identified the drawbacks in monitoring their work.
School districts across the country have introduced digital grade portals that allow both students and their parents to access grades.
However, children have reported higher levels of anxiety and stress when their parents continuously obsess over their progress throughout the school year, a recent study indicated.
Instead, teachers are encouraging parents to check their children’s grades twice a semester, especially during midterms and final exams.
