A Round-Up of The Clinton Global Initiative

Over 1000 leaders in government, philanthropy, business, and other fields gathered at the recent Clinton Global Initiative this year to discuss the foundation’s goals for the coming decade. The initiative will tackle similar issues as the U.N.’s 17 sustainable-development goals–taking on causes from agriculture and women’s rights in Africa to health-care access for Syrian refugees as well as Nepalese citizens affected by the earthquake. According to the initiative’s new president, Donna Shalala, their commitments, which total hundreds of millions of dollars, are set to positively impact 15 million people worldwide.
