Across the US, the women’s march started with lots of participation in 2017 after Trump’s inauguration. However, USA Today reports that those numbers have since dwindled, and while still thousands of people have participated, many may be getting “protest fatigue” or as USA Today called it, “Trump fatigue.”
Fewer than 10,000 are expected to attend this year’s march in Washington DC. – compared to 100,000 last year.
However, some protest leaders do believe people still feel empowered to protest because it is an election year and because of conversations around the US going into war.
