Next year, the Cleve Carney Museum of Art in Chicago will be hosting one of the largest exhibits of Frida Kahlo’s work ever done in the region in the last two decades.
The exhibit will feature 26 of Kahlo’s original artworks, loaned from the Museo Dolores Olmedo and will offer a look into the various topics she tackled in the art, including love, death and culture.
The Mexican artist’s pivotal art, which consisted of many self-portraits, continues to speak to the art world for its intensity, self-reflection and ability to captivate emotions and powerful hardships.
