Art experts say that more buyers are open to exploring art outside of the mainstream, Western genre, and are finally appreciating the history and cultural significance that accompanies the artwork.
Though prices are rising for Aboriginal work, the most expensive work sold to-date in the genre sold at $2.4 million.
