Based on a new report by Blue Cross Blue Shield, more children ages 18 and under are suffering from a potentially life threatening allergic reaction.
According to the findings, from 2010 to 2016, nearly 10 million children were diagnosed with anaphylaxis, a serious allergic reaction that can cause hives, swelling of the lips or tongue, and low blood pressure.
Bee stings and consuming peanuts are the two major triggers of anaphylaxis among children with many having allergic reactions outside of their household.
