With the rise of interactive museums, more gallery directors are examining how culture plays a key role in the development and popularity of art.
In a recent study, researchers found that participants prefer attending interactive art and design museums, such as the Museum of Ice Cream.
As a result, more traditional museums have begun to examine how visitors can interact and promote content using social media.
“Audiences nationwide are breaking down cultural norms and redefining them,” explained Maggie Hartnick, the managing director of marketing firm LaPlaca Cohen.
Respondents of the survey also mentioned they were more likely to attend a museum or cultural event if it were to support a societal cause.
