The Palace of Fine Arts is due for an upgrade and $20 million in preservation, and that might include the installation of a proposal for a San Francisco Museum at the Palace.
The proposal was one of three finalist’s – the other two included outlines to develop hotels, which were highly criticized as superficial. While the proposal has not yet been approved and finalized, the $7 million project would become a significant upgrade for the city’s historic art legacy.
